The recent events in Paris, Colorado Springs, San Bernardino, and elsewhere have prompted 2016 candidates to respond to security issues at home and abroad.
Andrea Bernstein, senior editor for politics and policy for WNYC News, and Matt Katz, New Jersey Public Radio reporter and the creator of The Christie Tracker, report from the campaign trail.
Andrea points out the similarities between Hillary Clinton's plan to defeat ISIS and Obama's speech last night, saying that her experience as Secretary of State "offers some reassurance" to Democrats.
And Matt, who attended several Trump and Christie rallies in New Hampshire over the past week, says Republicans are responding positively to the "strong, American tough talk" that Trump offers in response to ISIS.
Dem vs GOP approaches to #ISIS are "pulling what is already a divided electorate even further apart." @AndreaWNYCpic.twitter.com/MP9i7f15Gc

New: @ChrisChristie now says Obama is trying to confiscate America's guns. Christie himself used to push for banning sale of some guns.
